Flaherty Funding Corp. Receives Mortgage Banking License

Rochester, NY -- July 13, 2000 -- Flaherty Funding Corp. is now licensed in the State of New York to operate as a mortgage bank.

Flaherty Funding received approval for licensing on May 26, 2000. Tom Flaherty, President, traveled to New York City on July 6, 2000 to receive official documentation and orientation from the State Banking Department.

A mortgage banking license will allow Flaherty Funding to commit and issue mortgage commitments independently, directly and instantly.

Flaherty Funding was founded as a mortgage brokerage in 1995 by Tom Flaherty in Rochester, NY. Tom is a Rochester native, who graduated from Bishop Kearney High School and St. Bonaventure University. He currently resides in Webster, NY with his wife and children.

Tom states, "We heard the complaint one too many times that once our customers' loans were placed, they were dealing completely with out-of-town banks and received little or no support. Customers of Flaherty Funding will be able to have direct access to the company that placed their mortgage should any future concerns arise."
