Rochester, NY -- July 16, 2003 -- Rochester's Democrat and Chronicle newspaper highlighted Flaherty Funding in its July 15, 2003 issue.

Staff writer Frank Bilovsky talked about Flaherty Funding's unique position in the industry offering guaranteed closing costs. Bilovsky's article recounts the disappointment one couple experienced going through another mortgage company they found on the Internet. Frances and Tom Givens wound up $1,400 poorer due to the Internet's company inability to produce the necessary paperwork. Since then, the Givens' have since dealt exclusively with Flaherty Funding Corporation.

According to Frances, it's more important to know that the people you are dealing with are going to be able to deliver. "There is an awful lot of value to that."

According to Bilovsky's article, "(Flaherty's) firm guarantees its good faith closing cost estimate. The article spelled out the horrors many consumers face when obtaining a mortgage or refinance loan. The Bush administration is pushing for lenders to offer loan applicants a single guaranteed price for closing the transaction upfront...in other words, pushing for guaranteed closing costs that Flaherty Funding has been providing for years.
